e-Prog KANNAD is a Windows-based configuration and programming utility designed for technicians who commission, maintain, and service Kannad 406 MHz emergency beacons. It streamlines the setup of beacon identity data and helps ensure compliance with Cospas–Sarsat and national registration requirements. Ideal for approved service centers, avionics shops, and marine dealers, the software provides guided workflows that reduce errors and keep accurate records of each programming session.

Key features:

  • Read and program beacon identity data, including country code, protocol/hex ID, and associated vessel or aircraft identifiers (for example, MMSI or 24-bit aircraft address, where applicable)
  • Guided, validated programming steps to minimize entry mistakes and ensure standards-compliant configurations
  • Support for use with the dedicated Kannad programming interface/cable (connection method depends on the beacon model)
  • Access to basic diagnostics, including reading configuration details and performing functional checks where supported by the beacon
  • Automatic generation and storage of programming reports for audit and regulatory documentation
  • Designed for use by authorized personnel servicing Kannad distress beacons across aviation and marine applications

Notes:

  • Requires a compatible Windows PC and the appropriate Kannad programming interface and drivers
  • Intended for trained and authorized users; incorrect programming can result in non-compliant beacons and registration issues
